As another month draws to a close, that means it’s time for another edition of Bug Bytes!
Below is a summary of bugs RegOnline customers reported, and have since been fixed by our development team.
BUG: When creating multiple choice agenda items, with multiple choice answers, the unique names for each agenda item are not showing up on reports.
FIX: This bug occurred if you had two agenda items with the same answers. Lets say turkey, ham and vegetarian were possible answers for “What would you like for lunch?” and “What would you like for dinner?”. In the reports, an attendees answer only appeared for one of those agenda items instead of for both. Now fixed, this no longer occurs.
BUG: No data appears when accessing a survey.
FIX:The problem with this bug was in updating survey data. After a registrant completed a survey, when going back to “view, print or email survey record” no data would appear. Previously, surveys were accessible for updating, but no longer are designed to update answers. If a previously existing survey already exists, then the registrant would need to start a new one.
BUG: Email addresses containing an “&” symbol, everything past the ampersand would not be pulled in when clicking on the email address.
FIX: An “&” symbol is an acceptable character for email addresses, and now fixed, email addresses containing it or other special characters are recognized in their entirety.
BUG: On the check payment method, the word check should be spelled “cheque”.
FIX: For payment by check in the United Kingdom and Singapore, the spelling has been changed to reflect internationalization. Now the word “cheque” displays and is identical to the spelling on the checkout page.

It’s time for another installment of Bug Bytes!
Below are a handful of bugs that were reported by RegOnline customers, which we have subsequently fixed during the month of October.
BUG: When copying an event, the early bird fee transferred to the standard price regardless of early/late registration date and times
FIX: In copied events, the early pricing would not transfer over correctly, leaving the incorrect price for early and standard pricing. This is now fixed, so the correct price translates over to the correct level.
BUG: Last names with apostrophes return site errors
FIX: For email invitations with contact lists greater than 22 recipients, a search for a name with an apostrophe (O’Neill for example) would show up as a site error. Now fixed, this error no longer occurs.
BUG: Title of “Agenda Item Report” shows as “Attendee Roster” instead.
FIX: When running an Agenda Item Report the report would come up with the title Attendee Roster which was clearly a bug. Now fixed, an Agenda Item Report will have the correct title, followed by the event title and event number. For example: Agenda Item Report, Blue Sky Conference, #111111

Below are some bugs that RegOnline customers experienced and reported to our Support department in September. These issues have since been resolved.
BUG: Invoices sent through an attendee record, no longer display in email history.
FIX: In the attendee record, if an invoice was generated and then emailed to the attendee, the email would go through but not register in the email history on the attendee record. Now fixed, all emails sent to the attendee show up in the email history.
BUG: Taxes didn’t transfer over between duplicate events.
FIX: If an event organizer created a duplicate event and included a value that had associated tax, the tax did not translate over to the new event, causing inconsistent fees. The bug has since been fixed, and the correct tax amount correlates over with the correct item.
BUG: If the system recognized an email address, an option was no longer given to enter a new profile for a registrant.
FIX: After examining a few scenarios as to why this bug was occurring, we were able to implement a fix based on turning off required passwords. This has fixed the problem, and now attendees have the option to start a registration using the same email address.
As always, let us know if you have any questions or need help with your registration process. We also love hearing from you, so drop us a line below.

In a segment called Bug Bytes, we highlight bug fixes we have made in recent releases. Below is a handful our development team fixed this past month, based on customer feedback.
BUG: Copying events from a template does not copy over email reminders.
SOLUTION: When new events are created by copying a previously existing one, all of the existing settings should carry over. This bug did not copy over email reminders, but has since been fixed, eliminating the problem.
BUG: Wrapping vs. Shrinking of Fields on Labels and Badges
SOLUTION: We have worked on a number of changes to help event organizers incorporate all relevant fields on abadge, while keeping the look clean and professional. Implementing, “shrink to fit” and “wrap to fit” options has solved the problem.
BUG: Google Chrome is not allowing a Yes or Undecided RSVP to go through
SOLUTION: When a customer was trying to RSVP “Yes” or “Undecided” to an email invitation through the Google Chrome browser, the link was broken. This has since been fixed, allowing any RSVP (yes, no, undecided) to link directly to a registration page, even when using Chrome.
BUG: Attendee Info and Attendee Report Links Do Not Function Correctly
SOLUTION: When initially reported, this bug indicated that our servers were pointed to the RegOnline website and not directly to the Attendee Information. We have since fixed the bug, routing requests directly to the customer log in screen, rather than the RegOnline homepage. After this was fixed, it was tested and passed by our QA team three times over.
We continually work hard to improve our software to make it better for your events. Please contact our support department if you have questions, or feel free to leave a note below.

It’s time for another installment of Bug Bytes. Here are a handful of bugs that we have fixed for our most recent release:
BUG: “Send Email” link on event website is broken.
SOLUTION: Now fixed, and tested in Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome, this bug no longer occurs.
BUG: When generating/printing more than 40 printable schedules at a time, agenda items are out of order.
SOLUTION: After testing this bug, we were able to determine that the order would become skewed after printing of about 40 schedules. We have since fixed it, testing it in various environments and have not found a conflict in printing.
BUG: When transferring a group registration with a discount rule to an identical event, the discount is not applied.
SOLUTION: Once you have created an event, it is easy to simply copy it in order to avoid having to start from scratch. This bug did not translate the discount code that was configured in the old event. Now fixed, the discount will translate over, providing your attendees your discount.
Please post any comments below, as we always enjoy hearing from you. Feel free to contact the RegOnline support team, should you need help with your specific event.

The RegOnline blog is perfect for letting everyone know about our products, from releases to enhancements and more. It is also a great forum for letting everyone know about key bug fixes. Each month, we will fill you in on some bugs that have been fixed by our team in a segment called Bug Bytes. We even have a fancy new logo!
Here are some fixes from our latest release:
Bug: Uploading a file with a space in the title returns an error message
Fix: A file can be uploaded even with a space in the title, as the system automatically adjusts to the correct formatting. We have fixed this; the file now uploads in the correct format even with extra punctuation in the title, making this easy for you, the user.
Bug: When using the Internet Explorer 7 browser, custom fields appear differently when using an Internet Explorer 7 browser.
Fix: We have fixed this bug, so all fields are centered and look the way they would in any other browser.
Bug: The New Registrations window doesn’t pop up when logging in.
Fix: Now fixed, any time an event organizer logs into their page, a window will pop up notifying of registrations that day, even if there are no registrants. Following the initial log in, if you receive any new registrations, then the window will notify the event organizer if someone new registers.
Bug: When using conditional logic, a date appears as Day/Month/Year instead of Month/Day/Year.
Fix: For example, an Event Organizer sets up a registration form and makes golf a conditional logic field. If someone chooses golf on their form, then a variety of dates that golf is available would drop down. We have now fixed the bug that inverted the day and the month. So if your date was in April, it will now display correctly as 04/02/11 instead of 02/04/11 [Note that we localize for different geographies, and this will appear in the correct format for your domain.]
Look for more Bug Bytes at the end of this July, and if you have any questions, please contact our support department.

Event organizers around the world use RegOnline to help manage their events. They rely on our system to meet their needs and reduce workloads, and trust us to make sure all runs smoothly.
Every two weeks our development team releases new items to the general public including new features and feature enhancements. Releases also include internal updates such as security enhancements, license upgrades, system maintenance and code deprecation, to name a few.
With each release, we also focus on bug fixes. Oftentimes our Developers and Quality Assurance teams will discover a bug during testing, and then fix the issue before release. In the event that something isn’t working, we appreciate hearing from you, our valued customer. Here is a list of some key bug fixes that were recently released, based on customer feedback:
Bug: Unable to upload files using the document manager in Internet Explorer 7.
Solution: Now fixed, those using Internet Explorer versions 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 and additionally Google Chrome, and Firefox versions 3 and 4, can all upload documents using document manager.
Bug: The column for payment method in the standard registrant list pulls most recent payment type, not the currently set payment type.
Solution: By adding a second column to an attendee report related to payment methods, the user is able to filter down to either a “selected payment method” or “current payment method”.
Bug: Email address verification wording is confusing.
Solution: We’ve simplified the wording on the tabs to say:
“Verify Email Address” -> “Verify Next Person’s Email Address”-> “Next Person’s Email Address”, hopefully eliminating confusion in wording when adding additional group members.
Your RegOnline experience is important, and we appreciate and value your feedback. It helps us make things continually better for your events. Contact our support department if you have questions, or feel free to leave us a note below.
